How to Make an Evergreen Wreath

To tie a double faced evergreen wreath you will need:

  • One wire wreath ring
  • Spool wire
  • Assorted evergreen tips approximately 6-9 inches long.
  • Wire Cutter
  • Pruning shears to cut and trim evergreens.

1. Twist the spool wire around the ring several times to secure.

2. Using 3-5 pieces of tips each time lay a bundle of evergreens on the ring,

3. Wrap the spool wire around the base of the bundle several times pulling it tight.

4. Turn the ring over and place the next bundle of tips behind and a little below the last one.

5. Wrap spool wire securely around the bundle.

Continue working around the ring by repeating steps 4 & 5, until the ring is full.





To Finish Wreath:

Tuck the last bundle of evergreens in under the first and wrap tightly with wire.

Cut the spool wire leaving a length long enough to work the wire in and fasten securely.

When finished place the wreath in a cool to cold place out of direct sun until ready to use.

Any evergreen material may be used to make a wreath.

Balsam Fir is especially popular because of it's wonderful scent and it holds its green color well.

Cedar and Pine also make beautiful soft looking wreaths.

Spruce is pretty but very unco-operative to work with.
